Terms and Conditions

I. General provisions

Except for special provisions, any reservation or purchase of a service automatically implies acceptance of these general conditions of sale.

II. Reservations, cancellations and boarding priority

  1. Undated tickets

Sold in shops at the Docks de la Loire, online or at certain service providers, these tickets with no boarding date are valid throughout the season. They do not give priority to boarding during the few busy days.

2. Tickets with reservation paid online or by phone (CB)

Passengers with a paid reservation have priority at boarding over passengers with undated tickets.

Tickets with reservation paid online or by phone are neither refundable nor exchangeable, except if the departure is postponed by the Company.

  1. Gourmet cruises (excluding group cruises)

For gourmet cruises, reservation is essential; it can be done by mail, email, telephone, Internet or in Saumur at the Docks de la Loire.

Reservations only become final after payment of 100% of the amount of the service.

A meal reservation not honored, unless it has been canceled 72 hours before, will be cashed 100% by the Saumuroise navigation company Saint-Nicolas.

If this cancellation occurs between 72 hours and 24 hours before the service, a modification may be granted and the reservation may be postponed depending on the availability of the Saint-Nicolas Navigation Company.

The Company reserves the right to market the places corresponding to non-honored reservations.

  1. “Group” cruises with a quote

Reservations only become final after payment of 50% of the amount of the service as a deposit.

The exact number of passengers must be informed no later than 3 days before the date of the cruise.

Cancellations made more than 20 days before the scheduled date do not give rise to any deduction.

Cancellation made less than 20 days before the scheduled date gives rise to a deduction of 25% of the price of the service.

Cancellation made less than 72 hours before the service gives rise to a deduction of 50% of the price of the service.

The cancellation made on the day of the service gives rise to a deduction of 100% of the price of the service.

The remaining balance due for cruises must be paid upon boarding or upon receipt of the invoice.

III. Prices

Service rates are revised on November 1 of each year.

IV. Cruise regulations

1) Obligations of the Saint-Nicolas Saumuroise Navigation Company:

The Saint-Nicolas Saumuroise Navigation Company will do everything in its power to ensure the smooth running of the cruise under the conditions provided for at the time of booking. In no case shall the Saumuroise navigation company Saint-Nicolas be held responsible, nor held by any indemnity or reimbursement in the event of changes, timetables, or the duration of a cruise due to force majeure or " fortune de l'eau ”or because of instructions given by the navigation authorities or in the event of a change of boat. If necessary, the itinerary may be modified without notice.

2) Obligations of customer-passengers:

The entire group of passengers must arrive at the boarding location no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. If the passenger or group of passengers arrives after the departure of the boat, they will not be able to claim any refund or compensation.

For private cruises, the Saumuroise navigation company Saint-Nicolas reserves the right to reduce the cruise by a time equivalent to the delay taken by the customer on boarding with the related effects on the service.

From the moment he is invited to embark, each passenger must immediately and strictly comply with the instructions given by the crew of the boat in the interests of safe navigation and order on board. Passengers will only be able to board at the time stipulated in the contract.

La Compagnie Saumuroise de Navigation Saint-Nicolas declines all responsibility in the event of theft or damage to clothing, hand luggage, equipment (cameras, mobile phones, etc.) of customers on the pontoon or on boats or still to their vehicles parked in the parking lot.

V. Liability insurance:

As the Loire remains a wild river, the Compagnie saumuroise de navigation Saint-Nicolas reserves the right to assess whether the river is navigable or not. Cruises may be canceled or modified at any time from the reservation, including the day scheduled for departure or in the event of inclement weather which could jeopardize the safety of the persons transported. La Compagnie Saumuroise de Navigation Saint-Nicolas declines all responsibility for the consequences of non-compliance by passengers with these GTCS and general and specific police regulations.

No animal or material which may prove dangerous for passengers or staff will be allowed on the boat.

The Compagnie Saumuroise de navigation Saint-Nicolas cannot be held responsible for damage to passengers during the cruise when they have been caused by one of the following causes: sudden flood, thunderstorm, collision with another responsible vessel, even partially, of the accident and any other unforeseeable event.

La Compagnie Saumuroise de Navigation Saint-Nicolas declines any responsibility in the event of loss or fall of any objects or in the event of damage caused to clothes, hand luggage or material of the customers.

VI. Protection of personal data

The Saint-Nicolas Saumuroise Navigation Company refrains from assigning or disseminating the personal data of its passengers obtained in the context of the provision of its services. It strives to take particular care in protecting them, in conjunction with its service providers, without detracting from the good quality of the services.
